Gender Neutral Nurseries: Pink or Blue Says who?

Decorating a nursery is really difficult if the sex of the baby is unknown.  There are times some couples do not learn the sex of their baby until delivery.  Gender neutral nurseries are a great option for parents that do not know the sex of their baby.In most cases, parents do not wait until the birth of the baby to set up the nursey.

While pink and blue are two very gender specific colors, there are other pastel colors that would work for both boys and girls.  Yellow, cream, brown, white  and green are all colors that are often considered gender neutral.  When shopping for gender neutral baby bedding, decide on a theme or pattern.  Some popular gender neutral patterns are gingham, stripes and paisley.

Nursery furniture is seldom gender specific.  Finding a crib, changing table and armoire should prove relatively easy.  Gender neutral nurseries usually feature white or wooden furniture.

Creating a gender neutral nursey is not very challenging.  The process begins by identifying a theme.  Once a theme or pattern has been decided upon, all that’s left to do is piece it all together.
