When decorating kids’ bathrooms, the focus is usually on style as well as design.  As with their bedrooms, a kid’s bathroom should be a comfortable space for your children.  We have pulled together a few tips to assist with the process of decorating kids bathrooms.

Step Stools

One of the biggest issues for children in bathrooms is access to various features.  Bathroom counters, bathtubs and other accessories are usually placed out the child’s reach.  If you would like to give your child some freedom to complete certain tasks in the bathroom independently, you will have to place items in the bathrooms to assist.  A great example of this is the stepstool.  Placing a step stool in front of the bathroom counter will give your child the freedom to wash their hands, brush their teeth and provide other personal grooming tasks independently.

Bathroom Vanity and Countertop

When children learn to walk, parents often fear bumps, bruises and other boo boos.  At some point in their lives, most children have bumped their heads on the corner of a sharp table.  Bathrooms are not exempt.  Giving your child more access to independence in the bathroom leaves opportunity for more “boo boos”.  A safety precaution for a kid’s bathroom is round countertops.  A round bathroom vanity does not protrude out as a traditional bathroom vanity does.  An added advantage to this safety precaution is the enhancement of the overall décor.  Most round bathroom vanities are designed to be very stylish and appealing to modern and contemporary home décor.
